The process of making my poster.

I open up a new A3 slide and color it with brown color as the background.

I use the pencil tool to draw the ground. Every part was drawn and color separately but in one layer.

The bark of the tree was drawn based on the picture of a real tree. I just draw it with using the mouse not by tracing it.

I draw the leaves with 4 types and colors. All of them are copied and pasted to make it look like a tree. The small tree was pasted from the symbol provided.

The final outcome. I wrote my title: Save the forest.Plant more trees at the bottom of the poster.

TITLE:Save the FOREST. plant more TREES.

OBJECTIVES:This poster was designed to let people realize how impotant it is to save the world.Our world!Since the deforestation case is increasing because there's lots of developers are clearing the forest for their own sake (mainly for money)...people should be exposed to such infos and ads. One would never take an action unless they really see the effect. So, to prevent us from being affected by the deforestation, people around us should be educated and one of it can be done with this poster. Other than that, planting more trees could really help overcome this problem. So let's save the world together. Make the world a better place for once and for all. Peace out:)

*i open up the sketch file

*by using the pencil tool,i trace all the lines back

*after each and every lines that i had traced, i'll add the colors

*same goes here and yes i have to do it separately

*i've drawn some wood and leaves for the trees for the forest at the back of the main tree.This was done by copy and paste so that it'll be easier to get lots of trees.

*the mountains,background and everything have to be done separately and in the end i just put it at the right place according to the sketch i'd made.

The meanings of my symbol

*Oval shape:It symbolize the egg(which the egg is so fragile). So it is just the same as our world. If we didn't take a good care of it...obviously something bad will happen!

*Yellow:The sun are blazing up in the sky.The striking yellow shows that the exposure of the sun is not filtered by the ozone layer anymore so the temperature is totally rising.

*Green:The nature(floras/florae).It also shows that our world was once a very beautiful creation of God without any pollutions and disruptions.

*Blue:It was presented in such a limited space coz it shows that the cleanliness of the world has become less.

*Brown:It is specifically for deforestation.The deforestation has really increase from time to time.

*Trees:Such a little number of trees being shown represents the number of trees today, it has become lesser than before because of DEFORESTATION and etc.

*Mountain:The mountains also were the aims of the irresponsible people. They would do anything to cut down all the trees for development.

I was inspired to help save the world by just looking at a great scenery in Australia. The citizens were also doing a great job by being environmental friendly. So that really opened up my eyes to see how serious this matters are. If everyone do their part, little by little...that really can change the world.~Peace out:)

Deforestation is the conversion of forested areas to non-forest land for use such as arable land, pasture, urban use, logged area, or wasteland. Generally, the removal or destruction of significant areas of forest cover has resulted in a degraded environment with reduced biodiversity. In many countries, massive deforestation is ongoing and is shaping climate and geography. Deforestation results from removal of trees without sufficient reforestation, and results in declines in habitat and biodiversity, wood for fuel and industrial use, and quality of life.

From about the mid-1800s, around 1852, the planet has experienced an unprecedented rate of change of destruction of forests worldwide. Forests in Europe are adversely affected by acid rain and very large areas of Siberia have been harvested since the collapse of the Soviet Union. In the last two decades, Afghanistan has lost over 70% of its forests throughout the country. However, it is in the world's great tropical rainforests where the destruction is most pronounced at the current time and where clearcutting is having an adverse effect on biodiversity and contributing to the ongoing Holocene mass extinction.

About half of the mature tropical forests, between 750 to 800 million hectares of the original 1.5 to 1.6 billion hectares that once covered the planet have fallen. The forest loss is already acute in Southeast Asia, the second of the world's great biodiversity hot spots. Much of what remains is in the Amazon basin, where the Amazon Rainforest covered more than 600 million hectares. The forests are being destroyed at a pace tracking the rapid pace of human population growth. Unless significant measures are taken on a world-wide basis to preserve them, by 2030 there will only be ten percent remaining with another ten percent in a degraded condition. 80 percent will have been lost and with them the irreversible loss of hundreds of thousands of species.

Many tropical countries, including Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Bangladesh, China, Sri Lanka, Laos, Nigeria, Liberia, Guinea, Ghana and the Cote d'lvoire have lost large areas of their rainforest. 90% of the forests of the Philippine archipelago have been cut. In 1960 Central America still had 4/5 of its original forest; now it is left with only 2/5. Madagascar has lost 95% of its rainforests. Brazil has lost 90-95% of its Mata Atlântica forest. Half of the Brazilian state of Rondonia's 24.3 million hectares have been destroyed or severely degraded in recent years. As of 2007, less than 1% of Haiti's forests remain, causing many to call Haiti a Caribbean desert. Between 1990 and 2005, Nigeria lost a staggering 79% of its old-growth forests. Several countries, notably the Philippines, Thailand and India have declared their deforestation a national emergency.

We call the result global warming, but it is causing a set of changes to the Earth's climate, or long-term weather patterns, that varies from place to place. As the Earth spins each day, the new heat swirls with it, picking up moisture over the oceans, rising here, settling there. It's changing the rhythms of climate that all living things have come to rely upon.Glaciers are melting, sea levels are rising, cloud forests are drying, and wildlife is scrambling to keep pace. It's becoming clear that humans have caused most of the past century's warming by releasing heat-trapping gases as we power our modern lives.

My knowledge on GLOBAL WARMING

Hurmm..let's see..i actually know a bit bout global warming.I know that our world is full of pollutions!Sound,land,water n whole lot more kind of pollutions.And that scares me to death!Our mother nature's suffering and we(most of us) still didn't care n take no action in helping to save the environment.I have a great feeling that our future generation won't have the chance to taste the feeling of having nature close to us. There are lot's and lot's of things that we have to care for in this world.The ozone layer is getting thinner and that makes the UV ray will be exposed to us even much more.And for that,the percentage for us to suffer skin cancer would be higher. The world is getting hotter coz the temperature is rising. Even the ice cubes are melting at the atlantic. Imagine,how are we going to survive in this "hot" world?? Carbon monoxides,sulphur dioxide, and other harmful gasses were released caused by us,the human being. Still we could care less bout it. There are some good people who's environmental friendly and take good care of the surrounding. But the numbers can be counted. *sigh* So hopefully by doing this project,the students will have the heart to change the world and make it a better place.~peace out!
